Cooking instructions? I’ve bought Quinoa only once before, it was a different brand and gave cooking instructions for the whole box. It was x amount of water, then cook for 25 minutes. How much boiling water would you put this 400g pack into and for how long? I’ve actually never bought anything and there be no cooking instructions on it…….
Organic Quinoa, 400g
Hi Tamara,
Here are the cooking instructions.
Have a nice day.

Instructions for cooking Organic Quinoa:
It is recommended to presoak quinoa before cook; it will break down the hard outer shell to speed up the cook time, also get rid of bitter taste.
Quinoa that has been soaked properly will have a light, nutty flavor.
Soaking Instructions:
Fill a clean sauce pan with 1 ½ cups of cold water. Add one cup of quinoa, soak for at least 15 minutes to half an hour, once the soaking time has passed, very carefully drain off the water using a colander or sieve. Give the grain an extra quick rinse under the tap, drain and ready to cook.
Cook the Quinoa:
Return the quinoa to the pot and add 1 ½ cups of water or vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, giving it a little stir. Place a tight fitting lid on the pot; reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes. Remove form heat after 20 minutes, and allow the pot to stand for at least five minutes with lids on. Fluff with a fork and serve hot as a side, or cold as a salad.
Are the nutrition facts for 50 g (< 1\4 cup) of cooked or uncooked quinoa? Thanks.
Hi Jody,
The nutrition facts are based on 50 grams of uncooking quinoa.
